Head of MoE Subjects & Cultural Studies

I am pleased to join North Gate British School as the Head of MoE Subjects and Modern Foreign Languages. With 35 years of experience in education, I bring extensive expertise as an SLT member from various schools across the UAE. I hold a High Diploma in Education for teaching Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Modern Foreign Languages from the University of Michigan in Dubai,

and I am currently pursuing further qualifications in Islamic Education and Teaching. Throughout my career, I have worked as a mentor, coach, and quality assurance reviewer, and I am a proud member of the Arabic Instructional Round Committee from the USA, where I contribute to evaluating teaching practices and offering developmental recommendations. My educational philosophy emphasizes creating a positive, student-centered classroom that promotes independent learning, critical thinking, and cultural values. I am excited to lead the MoE department at North Gate, and I am committed to fostering excellence in teaching and learning throughout the school.

I’m proud to be joining North Gate British School, Ajman, as the new Head of Key Stage 3. With vast experience as a Mathematics teacher and leader across both England and the Middle East, I bring a wealth of expertise to this new role.

My name is Bousy El-Mashad and I have over 20 years of experience working in the field of education in the United Arab Emirates. I have worked in a number of schools as a Social Studies and Moral Education teacher. My experience includes being a Department Head and Supervisor. I have many teaching qualifications and CPD certificates such as being an Expert Creative Educator, along with a Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming. I always ensure that I focus on how to effectively engage with my students by developing their academic and personal skills to prepare them as future leaders. I am passionate about participating in different school activities and integrating them with the national identity of our beloved country, the UAE.

My name is Mr. Stephan and I am from South Africa. I am a passionate and goal driven educator and have been teaching in the UAE for six years. I am looking forward to teaching Design and Technology at North Gate British School.

Designing and building structures is where my passion lies and a skill that sparks creativity amongst students. I have a strong academic background in Arabic language education, holding a Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and an Advanced Diploma in Teaching Arabic to Native and Non-Native Speakers. With seven years of experience, I specialise in delivering engaging and effective Arabic lessons to a diverse range of pupils. My teaching philosophy emphasises not only academic excellence but also character development, equipping pupils with the skills and confidence needed to face real-life challenges. I am passionate about using innovative methods to instil a love for the Arabic language and culture, making learning both enjoyable and meaningful.
